Westwood Works 1903-2003 |
From 1962 it was established practice to hold Christmas parties each year both for the children of employees and, more particularly, for disadvantaged children, in collaboration with the NSPCC. These were held in the Sports Clubhouse and there was never any shortage of volunteers to raise the necessary funds during the year and to ensure that the children had a great time.
It was also usual for the children of employees to be taken to a performance of the Pantomime at the Embassy Theatre as part of the Christmas festivities.
