It is thought that the Golf Section started in 1961 as the Westwood Works Golf Club. The name was changed in later years to the Baker Perkins Golf Society - probably to reflect the improving handicaps of the Members! The Society remained active long after the Sports Club closed (see Closure), finally disbanding in 2007.
